Profiles
The average Brown Mama is a Black, millennial mom ages 30-45. She is in a transitional stage of her life and is looking for a way to make a difference. She likely has two or more children and lives in a region where she may be underserved and underrepresented.
She's looking for new experiences that make her life easier and more enjoyable. She wants a brighter future for her children.
The Brown Mamas are more likely to be involved in their community and will go to great lengths to create experiences for their children.
Monique is a 42-year old, married mom of 3 school-aged kids. She is very active in her community and works in a high-level position at a healthcare company. She comes to every Brown Mamas event and offers her time as a volunteer. Monique's parents live in another city so she relies heavily on the network of women she's cultivated over the years. Monique would love an opportunity for one-on-one, community-focused experiences with a sponsor. She finds value in brands that work towards the causes she loves.
Latrice is a 41-year-old divorcee of two. She has school-age and adult-age children, and identifies as a part of the LGBTQ community. She found Brown Mamas through a friend once she relocated to Pittsburgh. Over the years, she's attended meetups, vended at events and is active in the online community. Now, that she's moved back to Baltimore, she still follows Brown Mamas online and even host online events for them. She has one thriving business, but still works a 9-5. Latrice loves experiences that introduce her to new ideas. Her ideal sponsor is new to the marketplace and will provide a fresh opportunity to experience the brand in a unique way.
Joy is a 33-year-old married mom of three. All of her children are under the age of 8 and she loves to attend Brown Mamas meetups and has graduated from the Brown Mamas' mentoring program. Life with small children can get complicated for Joy and she's searching for opportunities to work on self-care. Her job in human services doesn't pay a lot but she likes the work she does and enjoys being a part of something bigger than herself. Joy's ideal sponsor experience will allow her to discover something new about herself. She love an intimate opportunity to meet new people and build her tribe.
Tawana is a 45-year-old, married mom of two adult children and one teenager. She has been working in the social services field for most of her life and recently become a grandmother. She's had a good amount of difficulty and trauma in her life. Tawana is very active in her community, but mostly enjoys travel with her husband. Sometimes helping out with her new grandchild keeps her at home though. She'd most enjoy sponsor experiences to make her and her family's life easier. Sponsored experiences that highlight day-to-day living, homelife and ease are valuable to her.
